So new jaimeray_newman community is plugging along nicely. We saw a nice bump in membership after sga_newsletter included it. I'll try to do a membership drive elsewhere in a few days.

So I capped the premiere of "Blood Ties". Over 900 caps, all in PNG format, 624X352, in a RAR file. I'm hoping to upload them to a gallery at some point. If I use Picasa, they'd have to be split into albums. I included a little of everything, including of the scenics and minor characters. So I watched the premiere of Lifetime's "Blood Ties". I quite liked what I saw. Toronto was all in her glory from the CN tower to Yonge street. Some people likened the camera angles to "Forever Knight", but I was equally reminded of the street pans of Vancouver from "Da Vinci's Inquest", so maybe it's a Canadian thing. I didn't mind. So I came across the first couple of articles about "Blood Ties", including Sci Fi Wire's piece. More rummaging around the Net yielded two fansites already Blood Ties Central and Bloodlines. Blood Ties trailer for Lifetime up on Youtube. They've hyped the romantic/sexy/shippy aspects of the series, rather than the supernatural, but hey, that aspect is completely canon. Apparently regular episodes won't air opposite Dresden Files on Sundays, it'll be opposite BSG! *head desk* I'm not really a BSG fan, but even I can see how stupid that ( Read more... )

andpuff has announced we have a premiere date for the "Blood Ties" tv series. Lifetime has apparently committed to a 2 hour premiere on March 11th. The pilot is an adaptation of the first book in the series "Blood Price".

I dvred the opening of "Dresden Files", but will watch it later. Will it make sense for those of us who haven't read the books?

Lifetime continues to rot my brain. They've picked up Tanya Huff's "Blood Ties" series for February 2007. Apparently it's set to air before the Canadians see it in fall 2007. At least I won't have to beg and plead for edmats.

And have a look at the Stargate Atlantis miniatures. Honestly I think the Teyla and Ronon ones are the best of the bunch. ( Read more... )
